check this out. it is a new ad campaign by an italian fashion company who is advocating for more strict requirements of the models used in fashion. this young woman is ONLY 27 years old and weighs 70 pounds. what is so captivating to me is how old she appears to be. it demonstrates that when we do not provide the proper nutrients for our bodies that we will literally wither. i feel that this is the same whether and individual is 70 pounds, 150 pounds or 400 pounds….if we do not practice adequate nutrition and physical activity we will not live or age gracefully.
in a world of overfed and underfed the beauty seems to lie in health, wellness, and balance. people are starving. people are obese. people are “average” yet obsessed with what they eat. why is it that we have developed a culture captivated by appearance rather than substance?
It is a sad state. . .
It boggles my mind that she did that to herself in the name of beauty.
